The engagement began with a kick-off meeting at the Secretariat, where the Chief Executive Officer of The Gambia OIC Secretariat, Yankuba Diba expressed delight that the project is advancing into implementation. He added that having a franchised luxury hotel of the globally renowned brand Radisson Blu would add a significant dimension to the country’s tourism portfolio.

Chairman Abdoulie Thiam reiterated his ‘’100% commitment to the timely execution of the project’’. Being born in Banjul to a Gambian mother and Senegalese father, Mr. Thiam indicated that he has a personal motivation to see the project come to fruition.

Chairman Thiam disclosed that the concept and the architectural drawings are finalized. Mr. Andrew Stockil, Founder and Director of Nuvo Consulting, the consultant for the 5-star hotel project said they were very much excited upon receiving the project concept from the CEO of Immo Land Sarl construction company. “We are all excited to produce a product for the OIC, Chairman Immorland, for the edifice to run for many years, and for it to benefit Gambian people,” he said.
