OIC AD HOC MINISTERIAL COMMITTEE MEETING

The Attorney General and Minister of Justice Hon. Dawda A. Jallow chaired the meeting of the Ad Hoc Ministerial Committee on Accountability for Human Rights Violations Against the Rohingya at the OIC headquarters in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, the OIC Secretary-General His Excellency Hissein Brahim Taha, reviewed measures taken by the OIC to sensitize the International Community on the plight of the Rohingya. 
Hon. Dawda A. Jallow Attorney General and Minister of Justice as the chair of the Ad Hoc Ministerial Committee highlighted the current status of the Rohingya case before the International Criminal Court of Justice (ICJ).
The OIC Secretary General His Excellency Hissein Brahim Taha, commended The Gambia for its role within the OIC and its strong commitment to the principles of justice and accountability, defending the cause of the Rohingya. (oic.oci, 2022).  
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Permanent Representative to the OIC Omar Gibril Sallah, The Chief Executive Officer of The Gambia OIC Secretariat, Mr. Yankuba Dibba and the Principal State Council at the Gambia Ministry of Justice Aji Adam Ceesay
